The Economy Olympics are the largest economic training project in Portugal, aimed at secondary school students.
They aim to Unite of the Worlds: to unite young Portuguese people with a taste for economic science and to unite Secondary Education with Higher Education, especially the University of Coimbra.
The initiative was created in 2013 by a group of students from the FEUC Degree in Economics, and is currently organized by students and alumni from the University of Coimbra and by participants from previous editions of the OE.
The OE VIII are supported by a Scientific and Pedagogical Council, composed entirely of professors from FEUC - Faculty of Economics, University of Coimbra.
Participation in OE VIII is intended for all students of secondary and professional education in schools in Portugal. In this edition, the topic under discussion will be “Portugal 2030”.
OE VIII takes place in 3 phases:
• School Phase, on February 17th;
• Regional Phase, on March 6;
• National Phase, from 14 to 15 May;
With more than 8000 participations over the past editions, the OE continue to seek to increase their commitment to the Portuguese education system and promote the improvement of economic literacy in Portugal. Be part of us !!
