As a former alluvial forest, the Herrnsheimer Klauern represent a unique habitat for many rare plants and animals in our region. Since 2013, the forest refuge has been dedicated exclusively to the protection of the natural habitat and biodiversity for the next 3 generations, i.e. about 100 years.
