Renal insufficiency, also called end-stage renal disease, is a medical term for cases of kidney failure to adequately filter metabolic wastes from the blood.
Kidney failure is a medical condition called the condition in which the kidneys cannot function. They are divided into: acute kidney failure (conditions that develop rapidly), and chronic kidney failure (cases that last for a long time). Symptoms include: swollen feet, feeling tired, vomiting, loss of appetite, and confusion. Complications of acute renal failure: presence of urea (an organic compound) in the blood, high level of potassium in the blood, or an increase in the size of one of the heart chambers. Complications of chronic kidney failure: heart disease, high blood pressure or anemia.
