About Lander Game
This year marks the 50th anniversary of the actual Moon landing! The timing for the release of this game couldn't be better.
Very much like the original, but with better flight controls and better graphics. Challenging and fun! We started developing this game as a test in JavaScript to see how nicely we could make a ship fly around. Before we knew it, there was a fully functional game.
The game generates the landscape and the landing pads randomly every time. The more challenging pads are worth higher scores. As levels increase, it gets more difficult... You . must land softer, fuel burns faster, things like that.
There is a lot of room to expand this game, and we intend to, depending on user response.
We want to add things like alien ships, meteors, wind (we'll change the game to include Mars, because it has wind.) This is a soft release to see how people like the game.
The game was created in Android Studio using a very low-level framework specifically designed for developing games. The original framework is a few years old. Every time we make a new game, we make improvements to the design.
Thank you to the folks at Kilobolt for the original base framework.
