Vanes National Nature Reserve is one of the largest and most valuable steppe area in South Moravia. The occurrence of some plant species reaches of European importance. The area is preserved a rich set xerothermophilous flora with many severely and critically endangered species. On the dorsal surfaces are growths made up of a mixture of Stipa vláskovitého, Ivanova and tenkolistého, is a significant incidence of iris low and varied, pasque flowers, Santa Pannonian, burning bush white, Astragalus Austrian, Danish and cizrnovitého, bell Siberian etc. This area was established as a reservation is complete, which means that any human intervention, there is excluded, thus cutting grass.
