LETTER KING - fairytale about DA SOUNDS GOT LETTERS
Letter King is very catchy and unique educational concept that has been used in Norwegian schools for several years in connection with graded training. Letter King - then the sounds got letters, take the kids into a cohesive, imaginative world with an adventure to each of the letters. This event can be a great help to sensitize children on the audio side by words. The emphasis is on distinguishing between sound and letter, which is very important in the initial reading instruction. The terms vowel and consonant are introduced, and that the letters then gets respectively red and blue.
Fairy tales are illustrated with simple colorful shapes imagination stimulating for children. The children will have plenty of time to immerse themselves in the stories while watching the images. The captivating stories are read by Nils Nordberg. The stories are also texted so adults can even read with their children if they wish. So it is opened to use more of the child's sense channels to secure associations between sounds and letters.
