About ARCQualCalc
The ARC Qualifying Flight Scoring Calculator (ARCQualCalc) is designed for use by the NAR Volunteers who observe and record the results of ARC Team qualifying flights. It is intended to ease the burden of making scoring calculations on the field and, additionally, to increase the accuracy of the final score computation.
Given inputs for Timer #1, Timer #2 and Altimeter Altitude, per the ARC rules, The American Rocketry Challenge (ARC) Qualifying Flight Scoring Calculator (ARCQualCalc) will calculate: 1) average time of the flight (rounded to .01 seconds); 2) excess/shortfall time and associated score; 3) absolute value of the difference between the altimeter and target altitude; and 4) final score. The computed values can then be copied directly onto the ARC Qualification Flight form.
