Namaz prayer is one of the five pillars of Islam; its implementation is prescribed to every Muslim.
As already noted in the first chapter, the most important duty of a person is faith in the existence and unity of Allah, as well as recognition of the prophecy of Muhammad, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him. And the most important rite of believers is prayer-prayer.
Unlike other commands of Islam that were given to the Prophet, peace be upon him and the blessing of Allah, the Most High through the angel Jabrail, peace be upon him, the order for the prayer was given directly during his ascension (miraj). This happened a year and a half before the resettlement of the Prophet Muhammad, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, from Mecca to Medina (hijra).
Namaz is the worship of Allah (‘ibad), which purifies the soul, illuminates the heart and exalts a person before Allah.
The Prophet, peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him, said: “Namaz is the pillar of religion. He who leaves the prayer destroys his religion. ”
Namaz helps purify the soul. By performing namaz, a Muslim strengthens faith, saves himself from sins and is cleansed.
Once the Prophet Muhammad, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, asked his companions: “Will the mud remain on your body if you swim five times in the river, what flows in front of your house?” They replied: "O Messenger of Allah, no dirt will remain." To this, the Prophet, peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him, said: "A fivefold prayer is like this: Allah cleanses sins by prayer."
