Maharshi Manomohan Dutt is one of the proponents of interfaith harmony. Through his music, autobiography and exhortations, he made important contributions to the establishment of religious harmony throughout British India. He called the Lord of all religions by the name of Mercy. He was born on 10 Magh 1274 BS in Satmora village of Nabinagar upazila of Brahmanbaria and died on 20 Ashwin 1318 BS at the age of only 32 years. Although he was deeply interested in his studies at the beginning, at the age of 18 he became a disciple of Guru Anandaswamy of Sarail. Later, he came in contact with religious leaders of different religions including Maizbhandar Pir of Chittagong and gained detailed knowledge about all religions. Impressions are gained in a fluid, global, diffused way.
