Correction power factor primarily through the installation of capacitors has been the subject of much attention from the project areas, maintenance and finance companies interested in rationalizing the consumption of their electrical equipment. Aiming to optimize the use of electricity generated in the country, the former DNAEE (National Department of Water and Power), currently under the name of ANEEL (National Electric Energy Agency), through Decree No. 479 of 20 March 1992 established the minimum power factor must be 0.92.
This APP is very different from other APP by the following:
- The user enters the voltage, frequency and current power.
- Then comes with the current power factor of your company provided by the concessionaire of electricity.
- You choose which is the desired power factor (ex .: 0.92).
- Click the calculate button.
- It shows the value of the capacitor to make the correction and power correction.
