Volcanoes in Indonesia are part of the Pacific Ring of Fire. It is grouped into six geographical areas, four of which have volcanoes in the Sunda Arc range. The other two areas include the volcanoes of Halmahera, including the surrounding volcanic islands, as well as the volcanoes of Sulawesi and the Sangihe Islands. The latter region is in a volcanic arc with the Philippine volcano.
