Barrister Moudud Ahmed Former PM of Bangladesh Earlier, he also served as Deputy Prime Minister. He is one of the founders of Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) and Jatiya Party. The eighth parliament was the minister of the Ministry of Law and Justice, the veteran politician. Now he is a member of the Standing Committee of the BNP.
Moudud Ahmed was born on 24 May 1940 in Companyganj upazila of Noakhali district. Her father Mamtaz Uddin Ahmed and mother Begum Ambia Khatun. Moudud Ahmed fourth in six siblings. After receiving the honor from Dhaka University, he earned a Barrister degree in London, London, from Lincoln's Inn. After studying in London, he returned to the country and engaged himself in law. He was also working at the George Washington University as a Blessing Visiting Professor.

Moudud Ahmed was born on May 24, 1940, in Companiganj Upazila, Noakhali during the British Raj. His father, Maulana Mamataj Ahmed, was an Islamic scholar and mother Ambiya Khatun was a housewife. He completed BA and MA from the University of Dhaka in Political Science. In 1966, he was known as the English Bar at Lincoln's Inn.

After return home, he joined the legal team of Sheikh Mujibur Rahman for the Agartala Conspiracy Case trial in 1968. Following the year, he accompanied Sheikh Mujibur Rahman in The Round Table Conference with Field Marshal Ayub Khan in Rawalpindi. He also joined the Provisional Government of Bangladesh in Calcutta during the liberation war. He is the leading barrister in the post-independence year. In December 1974, he was jailed on order of Sheikh Mujibur Rahman but later released.
