Salauddin Quader Chowdhury 13 March 1949 22 November 2015; Who is also known as Saka Chowdhury; He was a Bangladeshi politician and six times elected Member of Parliament from Chittagong 2 seats of the Jatiya Sangsad. Until his death, he was a member of the Standing Committee of the Bangladesh Nationalist Party. He was hanged on 22 November 2015 for crimes against humanity during the war of liberation. His conviction raised various questions from internal and external sources in Bangladesh regarding the tribunal's trial. He was sentenced to death on October 1, 2013 by the International Criminal Tribunal for the former Yugoslavia (ICTY) for torture, murder and genocide during the war. On November 17, 2015, the High Court rejected his appeal for review of the verdict. According to prison officials, Salauddin appealed to the President of Bangladesh for mercy, but his request was rejected. However, according to his family members, he did not appeal to the President to get relief from the death penalty.
