Basbousa is a traditional Arabic dessert that is famous and a favorite of many people in the Middle East and North Africa region. Basbousah consists of a sweet and soft doughy base made of semolina, sugar, yoghurt and oil. Amber sugar and powdered sugar are added on top to add more sweetness.
Here are the steps to prepare Basbousah:
1- The main ingredients (semolina, sugar, oil, milk) are mixed in a bowl until the mixture is homogeneous.
2- The baking powder and baking powder are added to the mixture and stirred until the ingredients are evenly distributed.

5- As soon as the basbousah is removed from the oven, it is sprinkled with a mixture of powdered sugar, water and blossom water to add moisture and sweetness.
6- The basbousah can be decorated with toasted almonds and grated orange peel. Serve the basbousah after it has cooled down a bit.
