Jan Dhan Yojana (PMJDY) is National Mission for Financial Inclusion to ensure access to financial services, namely, a basic savings & deposit accounts, remittance, credit, insurance, pension in an affordable manner. Under the scheme, a basic savings bank deposit (BSBD) account can be opened in any bank branch or Business Correspondent (Bank Mitra) outlet, by persons not having any other account.
The Jan Dhan Yojana account opening process is completely online. Get the Jan-Dhan Yojana application form from the Jan-Dhan Yojana's official website or from any other bank's website. Fill out the form and submit any relevant documents.
Jan Dhan Account Limit: Account Holders can deposit a maximum of Rs 1,00,000 in the account, under the scheme. To open a PMJDY account, an individual is required to submit the requisite KYC documents to the bank branch / Business correspondent. While the withdrawal limit from an account under PMJDY is Rs. 10,000, the account holder can deposit up to Rs. 1 lakh in this account.
