The calculator for ultrasound and functional diagnostics doctors is an assistant in studies of extracranial arteries (neck vessels, BCA - “brachiocephalic arteries”) and intracranial level (TCDI, visualizing transcranial doppler, TCD).
For calculations, the average maximum flow rate TAMX (TAMAX, cm / sec) is used,
values of resistance indices (Ri), pulsations (Pi) and diameters in millimeters that the ultrasonic device produces.
Calculator features:
- Calculation of the average volumetric blood flow (Volume Flow) in the vertebral arteries.
- Calculation of intracranial pressure and perfusion pressure through MCA (middle cerebral artery) flows using two methods.
- Calculation of the diameter of the feeding artery, as well as the volume of AVM (arterio-venous malformation in the cranial cavity).
- Calculation of vasospasm indices (Lindegaard and Sviry index), determination of hyperdynamic flows, as well as the assessment of the severity of vasospasm by the color indication method.
- Conducting vascular reactivity and collateral blood flow tests -
calculations of indices of breath holding, ICWR, determination of the type of vascular response to the sample (negative -, paradoxical ±, positive +, sharply positive ++).
The menu is divided into sections:
Section V.flow - estimation of the volumetric blood flow, ICP using the Beller method, AVM calculations.
Section TCDI - Calculations of CPD and ICP on mean arterial pressure. Evaluation of vasospasm indices. Samples of collateral compensation and reactivity (MCA1 before the sample, MCA2 after the test).
