An application for the owner of the Golden Throat and the fragrant recitations, Sheikh Abd al-Basit Abd al-Samad, an Egyptian Quran reciter, and he is one of the prominent figures in this field, born in the village of Maraazah, Arment Center in Qena Governorate (currently affiliated to Luxor Governorate). Sheikh Abdul Basit enjoys the greatest popularity around the world for the beauty of his voice and for his unique style. It was dubbed the Golden Throat and the sound of Mecca. Memorizing the Noble Qur’an at the hands of Sheikh Muhammad al-Amir Sheikh of his village book. Taking readings at the hands of masterly Sheikh Mohammed Salim Hamadeh. He entered the Egyptian Radio in 1951, and his first recitation was from Surat Fater. He was appointed as a reader for the Imam Shafi`i Mosque in 1952 AD, then for Imam Al-Hussein Mosque in 1958, succeeding Sheikh Mahmoud Ali Al-Banna. He left for the radio a wealth of recordings, along with two recited and glorified Qur’ans, and Qur’ans recited from Arab and Islamic countries. He traveled around the world as an ambassador for the Book of God, and he was the first captain for Egyptian readers in 1984 AD. He passed away on November 30, 1988.
Sheikh Abdul Basit is considered the only reciter who has received the honor from the luck that no one has attained with this amount of fame and position on the throne of reciting the Noble Qur’an for nearly half a century during which he received a measure of love that made him a legend that will not be affected by the passage of years, but every time Over time, its value increased and its value increased as precious jewels, and it was not forgotten, dead or alive.
