Given the current situation in the world, cultural heritage must seek mechanisms that adapt to the conditions of current times, in order to remain in force and obtain new users to whom they can pass on the knowledge that exists. As an organization we are focused on (1) Promoting the recognition of the existing cultural heritage in the Arica and Parinacota region, (2) Disseminating knowledge about regional cultural heritage from formal and non-formal education and (3) Fostering the enhancement of the regional cultural heritage from a sustainable development perspective.
The new media allow to generate revolutionary experiences for the institutions that have regularly been seen disseminating their articles and collections in a traditional way. The implementation of new ways of disseminating content allows access to a world of possibilities, such as taking the region to the world, hand in hand with technological innovation.
The culture selected for this initiative due to its wealth of objects is the Arica culture, inhabitants of the valley and coasts of Arica between the years 1000 and 1400 AD. groups that developed specialized crafts and integrated into other societies through exchange and reciprocity. The objects recovered in scientific excavations have suggested that archaeological sites are a source of information on the past that must be preserved. In addition, given the good conservation of the various supports that were used to integrate symbols and design, a work of high quality and realism can be recreated, which will be available to the regional community in the first instance and then to the world.
