The app can be used free of charge for digital subscribers to the Rheinische Post. Simply log in with your RP-ONLINE username and password.
There are two different subscription models in the app for activating “Plus” items:
1. Monthly subscription: After the free test phase of four weeks for €0.99, the monthly subscription costs €7.99 (billing via your iTunes account, no registration within the app necessary).
2nd annual subscription: 59€ with a discount of 37% compared to the monthly subscription (billing via your iTunes account, no registration within the app necessary)
The subscription is automatically renewed if you do not deactivate the automatic subscription renewal in the system settings at least 24 hours before the end of the term. If the price changes, auto-renewal will be turned off. Once a subscription has been taken out, it cannot be cancelled.

der Audiolesung Option hat ein Bug beziehungsweise die Geschwindigkeit, unmöglich für Lesern zu verstehen, sonst ist das App optimal

Die App lässt viel zu wünschen übrig und ist nicht durchdacht. Zwei Fehler die mich immer wieder aufregen: Artikel die über Push-Nachrichten kommuniziert werden, werden oftmals beim anklicken in der App nicht angezeigt (Fehlermeldung, nicht verfügbar). Außerdem fehlt in der App die Möglichkeit Artikel zu verschenken. Die Webapplikation (wo es möglich wäre) springt aber automatisch zur App.

normally my parents LOVE the app, since they can enlarge the text which makes it easier to read the articles. The new-ish feature to switch to single view of an article is also ok (especially the feature for the AI to read the article) but the fact, that the user is not able to LEAVE this view has seen to it, that my father has stopped using the app altogether, which has lead to deducting the two stars. (they are using an apple ipad)
