Surah Al Kahf Latin Arabic + Meaning - Surah Al-Kahf (Arabic: الكهف, al-Kahf, "Cave") also called Ashabul Kahf is the 18th surah in Al-Qur'an. This surah consists of 110 verses, including the Makkiyah surah groups. Named Al-Kahf and Ashabul Kahf which means the Companions of the Cave.
Both of these names are taken from the story contained in this surah in verses 9 through 26, about some young men (The Seven Sleepers) who have slept in the cave for years. In addition to these stories, there are also several stories in this letter, all of which contain lessons that are useful for human life. There are several hadiths of the Prophet Muhammad that stated the virtue of reading this surah.
In this letter there is a midpoint of the Qur'an which divides the contents of the Qur'an into two parts.
