Duplex Remover is an app that scans your smartphone for image duplicates, finds them, displays them, and lets you decide which ones to remove.
The app has a very intuitive and user-friendly layout and is thus self-explanatory in its functions.
The following scan modes are provided:
- Scan a specific folder for selection
- Scan the device storage
- Scan the SD card
- Or just scan the whole device
Duplex Remover offers the following scanning algorithms:
- Full scan mode: compares the images in totality of all pixels. Is very accurate but time-intensive.
- Left-half scan mode: compares only the left half of each image. It's also very accurate but less time-intensive than the full scan mode.
- Right-Half Scan Mode: compares only the right half of each image. It's also very accurate but less time-intensive than the full scan mode.
- Balanced half scan mode: here one quarter of the image from the right and left of each image is compared with the other images. Is less time-intensive than the previously mentioned procedures.
- Smart Focus Scan Mode: this algorithm only compares the focus area from each image to the other images (suitable for portrait images). Is very efficient and time-saving.
- Pattern Detection Scan Mode: a pattern is extracted from an image that is compared with the other images. very efficient and fast.
The app comes with support for 3 of the most commonly used languages: English, German and French.
On request, the system folders can be excluded from the scan process (it is activated by default and saves more time when scanning).
You can start the process and sit back: Duplex Remover Scan runs in the background. Once the scan process is done, you will be notified of the results.
To remove an image from the scan results, please hold your finger about 2 seconds on it and then the delete button will appear in the title bar.
