Al-A’lya (Arabic: الأعلى - Supreme) is the eighty-seventh sura of the Qur'an. Meccan Sura. Consists of 19 verses.
It begins with praise to Allah, who created his creations in the best way and in full perfection and predetermined each creation that is most suitable for him. The messenger is ordered to remind and instruct the Qur'an, so that he who fears Allah, accepts edification, and the unfortunate infidel, who will burn in great fire in the future life, turns away from him. The verses emphasize that the one who is cleansed of sins, remembers Allah, and performs the prescribed prayer will succeed. At the end of the sura, it is indicated that everything that is said in it is inscribed in the old scrolls - in the scrolls of Ibrahim and Musa.
