Al-Masad (Arabic. المسد - Palm fibers) - one hundred and eleventh surah of the Quran. Meccan Sura. Consists of 5 verses.
The surah begins with a message about the death of Abu Lahab and that nothing will save him from death: neither wealth, nor high position, nor anything else. The sura contains a threat to Abu Lahab that he will be cast into a blazing fire in his future life, where he will burn.
