Like Muslims in other parts of the world, Bangladeshi Muslims also have an interest in choosing baby names according to Islamic culture.

Despite the desire to have an Islamic name, out of ignorance we choose names that are not within the ambit of Islamic names or whose meaning is not supported by Islam.

Hazrat Abu Darda Radiyallahu Anhu narrates, Rasulullah Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam said, On the Day of Resurrection your names and the names of your fathers will be called, so keep your names beautiful.
