Made possible thanks to the “Strategic Funds and Initiatives: Digital Present” program of the Canada Council for the Arts, the Jardin des Possibles is an immersive work that takes an authentic, original and innovative look at the notion of living together.
The sound ecosystem created in the Ovila-Légaré park is a metaphor for the cohabitation of different individuals sharing the same space, a city, a district. In this commonplace, sounds reverberate, collide, echo, dialogue and harmonize. Like sounds, our presence transforms the territory as much as it transforms us.
The sound experience offered by Guillaume Soucy and the À Portée De Mains team offers an interactive reading mode. Using the application, the viewer enters this immersive space and interferes through different stories inspired by the reality of the neighborhood. He hears intersecting characters, a fanfare and a multitude of surrounding noises depending on his position in space. He is invited to move around the park and listen to the elements that pique his curiosity, people who talk about each other, who meet, music, life around us...
We therefore invite you to download the Le Jardin des Possibles application and go to Ovila-Légaré Park in the St-Michel district of Montreal to take advantage of this free experience. Note that the work will be available for a limited time only (summer, fall 2022)
