The teaser is a solitary game checkerboard pattern created in 1870 in the United States. His mathematical theory was published by the "American Journal of pure and Applied Mathematics" in 1879. In 1891, his invention was claimed by Sam Loyd, when the game knew a considerable interest in both the United States and Europe. It is composed of 15 small squares numbered from 1 to 15 which slide in a framework provided for 16. It is put in order the 15 tiles from any initial configuration.
