Tafsir Ibn Kesir is so famous that we would have nothing to say about him. He is almost the only tafsir whose writer has endeavored to remain within the bounds of tafsir in his commentary and not to confuse it with any other science. It is therefore only pure tafsir, and if he sometimes mentions some linguistic rule or points out some linguistic finesse, it is very rare and only to bring the reader closer to the meaning of the verse he is interpreting.
The writer, therefore, first of all intended to present to the reader a tafsir that takes into account only the tafsir, hoping that in this way he would reach a lofty goal: to specify the meaning of the word of Allah, s.v.t., as much as possible.
