Employee Competency Improvement Examination (UPKP) is an exam held by the Ministry of Finance to improve the competence of employees within the Ministry of Finance. UPKP is held annually and attended by employees within the Ministry of Finance who have met the requirements.

Level 2: This exam is intended for employees with the rank of class III and IV who have passed level 1.
Level 3: This exam is intended for employees with the rank of group IV who have passed level 2.
UPKP includes materials related to finance, such as accounting, taxation, planning and budgeting, and financial management. The UPKP exam usually consists of two types of tests, namely a written test and an oral test.
The written test consists of multiple choice questions and essay questions. Multiple choice questions cover various areas of finance, while essay questions contain more in-depth questions on specific topics.
Oral tests in the form of presentations or group discussions that aim to test the communication skills and analytical abilities of employees. In the oral test, employees are expected to be able to explain opinions and solutions to the problems given.
After taking the UPKP exam, employees will be assessed based on the results of the written test and oral test.
