Access ALL the information of the 38th edition of the Gourmet Wine Guide 2023. Transform your device into an ideal companion when choosing a wine in a restaurant, for a special moment, visiting one of the reviewed wineries, discovering the best selection of wine bars, wine festivals, etc.
One of the essential factors for the annual preparation of the Gourmet Wine Guide is its Tasting Committee, made up of 19 active professionals (sommeliers, oenologists, specialized journalists...). In this 2023 edition, 4,160 wines have been objectively and independently analyzed and evaluated, using the blind tasting system, by which the brand of the wine tasted is unknown.
Thanks to this app, you will be able to know the information published in this independent Guide published by Grupo Gourmets. Founded in 1976, it is the first publishing company in Spain specializing in gastronomy, wine and travel. Its headers are the Club de Gourmets magazine (since 1976) and the Gourmet Wine Guide (38 editions-dean of the sector). In November 1986, the Gourmets Group created the Club de Vinos Gourmets and a year later convened, organized and developed the Salón de Gourmets, International Quality Food and Beverage Fair.
In this 2023 version you will have access to all the technical information of the 4,427 reviewed Spanish wines, as well as a detailed tasting description of 2,621 wines from our country that have achieved a minimum score of 80/100 points.
The 38 in numbers
The GVG does not pretend to be a census of Spanish wineries and therefore we are limited to a selection of a certain number of wines per year, marked by our tasting methodology -blind tasting no more than 20 wines per session-. Blind tastings with multiple references/samples are not part of our editorial criteria.
The data of this edition are:
• 1,156 referenced wineries
• 4,427 reviewed wines
• 112 blind tasting sessions
• 4,160 wines tasted blind (including those that have required a blind taste)
• 2,621 wines tasted blind, rated and commented (with a minimum rating of 80/100 points)
• 1,777 wines from the Roll of Honor (with a minimum score of 90/100 points)
