Take a walk on the fort in Tismice, which is invited by the staff of the Institute of Archeology of the Academy of Sciences of the Czech Republic, Prague, who have been involved in his research for several decades.
The locality occupies an impressive area of 27 ha. Several fortified areas were built here, and the most important of them in the northwestern corner was the early medieval (Slavic) elite. Archaeologically well recognizing men - riders with opulent belts and spurs, who maintained long-distance contacts to the southeast, to present-day Hungary, and to the west, apparently to Bavaria. The flourishing of the fort is placed in the 2nd half of the 8th - 9th centuries.
A walk in the Thematic fort requires good tires and dry weather outside the agricultural cycle, it takes about 1.5 hours. Not suitable for families with prams and people with physical disabilities.
