In 1320, a church was built in Pobeten from a mixture of boulders, field stone
and bricks, one of the largest in Samland. A difficult fate awaited this cultural monument: over the centuries, the Pobetenskaya Church was repeatedly rebuilt, re-equipped, and restored. Despite the fact that the church did not suffer during the battles in 1945, in the post-war years the building was abandoned, and after that it began to be dismantled for materials. So the tower disappeared to the height of the walls of the nave, the roof was lost, and a large passage for freight transport was punched in the wall of the altar part of the church.
The Baltic Odyssey project is designed to involve the user in the study of customs and historical traditions, as well as to acquaint tourists with the history of the sights of the Kaliningrad region through the creation of interactive historical sketches embodied in augmented reality using computer graphics and the capabilities of modern smartphones. Users of the Pobetenskaya Kirche application will be able to watch interactive videos in 360 format, becoming part of the events they watch, as well as participate in themed mini-games in augmented reality. "
