Fascinator AR is the augmented reality accompaniment to digital artist Ego's 2022 gallery show, Fascinator.
Fascinator is Ego's portrait of the decorator crabs that live off Victoria's surf coast, on Wadawurrung country. The crabs adorn themselves with weed, coral and bits of reef to hide from predators. Like the crabs, the artwork hides under an ornate otherworldly camouflage, spawning unique new disguises on the fly.
Once downloaded, enable camera access, point your phone at a Fascinator printwork and load the augmentation.
