The International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN) publishes the Red Lists, which compile rare species of mammals, birds, amphibians, and marine life into seven categories, ranging from Least Concern to Critically Endangered.
In our application we have collected rare animals from the International Red List that live on the African continent. This list contains more than 1000 names of rare animals that need special protection.
The Zoogalaxy portal is actively involved in disseminating knowledge about the animal world of Earth, and therefore users are offered a variety of material on the current state of wildlife conservation. This work is dedicated to the animals of the Red Lists that live in Africa. This is a very large continent, only Eurasia has a slightly larger territory. However, in terms of the number of amazing animal species, Africa has no equal, despite the fact that a large part of it is occupied by almost lifeless desert. Unfortunately, there are many endangered species of animals here. Today, the whole world has the opportunity to get to know the unique biodiversity of this continent.
Humans are trying to preserve Africa's exceptional wealth of flora and fauna. Here there are three thousand nature reserves and national parks, almost two hundred marine territories are protected, in addition, there are about fifty biosphere reserves, eight of them in wetlands, where the biological diversity of the animal world is highest. The African continent has been home to one hundred thousand species of insects, more than two thousand species of fish, more than two thousand five hundred species of birds and one thousand one hundred species of mammals.
Application "Africa. Rare Animals” contains colorful photographs and detailed descriptions of rare and endangered species of wild animals of the African continent. This is another opportunity to show all the unique diversity of the animal world of our planet Earth. We have collected the things more interesting stories about the fabulously beautiful world of animals to tell your children. And we hope you will like our gift and help you learn something new!
