This app is an aid for race leaders to conduct a yardstick regatta on the start and finish ship. The app records the boats participating in the regatta based on their sailing numbers and their boat classes according to the current yardstick table of the German Sailing Association (DSV). This currently includes, in 2020, 1913 different boat classes or yardstick numbers.
This app supports the race director in carrying out the start procedure and - which is the main goal of this app - it registers the times sailed by the participating boats, whereby the times to be calculated according to yardstick are also immediately displayed in a corresponding result list. The race director can send a protocol at any time by email to an email recipient in the race office for further processing. With the help of a Bluetooth relay, the acoustic signals of a 12 V signal horn on the starting ship, i.e. the acoustic start signals, which can be automatically remote controlled from the app. You no longer have to trigger the acoustic signals manually. You can also work without this relay.
Although this app is designed for yardstick regattas, it can also be used for a class regatta if there is only one boat class at the start.
