This app is a tool for race leaders to perform a yardstick regatta on the start and finish ship. The app captures the boats participating in the regatta on the basis of their sailing numbers and their boat classes according to the current Yardsticktabelle Tiefwasser of the Austrian Sailors Association (OeSV). At present, in 2018, this includes 922 different boat classes or Yardstick numbers.
This app supports the race director in carrying out the launching process and - which is the main goal of this app - it registers the times sailed by the participating boats, whereby also the times to be calculated according to Yardstick are displayed in a corresponding result list. The race director may at any time send a log by e-mail to an e-mail recipient in the race office for further processing.
Although this app is designed for yardstick regattas, it can easily be used for a class regatta if only one boat class is at the start.
A new feature of the 2.0 version is, in particular, that with the aid of a Bluetooth relay, the acoustic signals of a 12 V signal horn of the launch vessel, i.a. the acoustic start signals can be automatically remotely controlled from the app. You no longer have to trigger the acoustic signals manually.
