The ElternApp Light for Münster bundles information about life with children in the most livable city and the surrounding communities. For example, we offer information on playgrounds, ice cream parlors and excursion destinations in and around Münster. You have the opportunity to keep an eye on the occupancy of the places of daily life - in real time! You can also save up to 5 of your favorite places in the app for free and display them on your own map. The data only stays on your phone!
With this app we would like to support families in their daily life in Münster and the surrounding area. We attach particular importance to privacy and easy handling of the app.
How does the app work?

All places are arranged in a clear map. Choose one of the categories "Playgrounds", "Ice cream parlors", "Destinations", "Favourites" etc. Using a traffic light system, you can see at first glance which places may already be too crowded and which you should visit at a different time. Get a first impression of the equipment, especially for playgrounds, and decide on your favourite.
Rating System:
---------------------
Based on your assessment of the situation on site via a smiley system, the occupancy of a place (playground, excursion destination, etc.) is recorded. We can then visualize this information on our map using a traffic light system: green is good, yellow is OK, and red is full (or not good at keeping distance). So you can see at a glance whether the place you wanted to visit is already too crowded and whether another place might be worthwhile.
Add your own places
---------------------------------------
You have the option of displaying 5 of your personal places in the app in the "Favorites" category. To do this, simply press and hold the location on the map. You then have the option of renaming or deleting the locations. The added places are only saved on your phone and will not be forwarded to us! If you want to add more points of your own, you can get them as an extension in our store!
Share your places
-------------------
You can now easily share your favorite places with your friends - via a QR code generated in the ElternApp. The code can be scanned via your friends' parent app and the location will then be displayed in your friends' app. Of course, this also works the other way around – you want to receive a place from your friends? Just scan the QR code! Again, personal locations will not be forwarded to us unless you want them to!
Privacy:

Data protection is a top priority in all areas of the app. The transmitted position data are the locations we have stored in our database and therefore do not allow any conclusions to be drawn about a person. For this reason, we do not log in via Facebook, Google, etc., which would allow tracing, and there is also no tracking and no excessive storage of your data. We want to keep an eye on the occupancy of the places and not individual users!

We are continuously working on additional features for the app to further improve your experience. Depending on how it goes on and how long this extraordinary situation will keep us busy, we have the categories "diaper changing facilities", "toilets", "bakeries" and much more ready to help you experience the city with children.
