The year 2023 has not got off to a really good start for the green segments - we are still struggling with high prices due to inflation, higher prices for raw materials and supply bottlenecks. And the weather: up to now there has been a lot of room for improvement. However, we compare the situation with the “concrete high” in the previous year with extremely much sun and little rain – the average duration of sunshine in March 2022 was 234.94 hours, well above the “target value” of 111 hours.
But we remain optimistic and are prepared: suitable products, consulting expertise and always a feel for the important trends.
In order for our strengths to continue to match our customers, the garden trade must constantly realign itself and must not lose sight of the major goals and trends of this time.
Irrespective of all geopolitical and economic developments, the climate crisis will increasingly concern us. Sustainability is not a freely selectable option in the business model, but has long since become a matter of course in all phases of planning and action. More and more often, this means questioning and replacing established processes. We have the opportunity to even act as a pioneer for the entire trade. Let's talk about it together! As well as about successfully "keeping track" in the crisis - and much more. We are pleased that we can meet at the BHB GardenSummit in Cologne, strengthen our successful network and plan the future together.
