WAB is the national contact for the offshore wind industry and the onshore network in the northwest
WAB represents more than 260 companies and institutes along the entire value chain of onshore and offshore wind energy: manufacturers, planners, investors, municipal utilities and power companies as operators of large wind farms on land and at sea. And, of course, shipping companies, logistics experts and ports as part of the maritime industry, which are essential for building up wind energy at sea. In addition, numerous renowned research institutions are networked at WAB.
Since 2002, WAB has developed from a regional network into an advocacy group for the German offshore wind energy industry. It has excellent contacts at the interface of politics and business.
