Poet and writer Martin A. Hansen (born 1909 in Strøby Stevns) was one of the 20th century's most famous Danish writers, radio novel Liar of 1950 as the best known and most sold. Although he only had a short life (he died in 1955) he wrote numerous novels and stories, some of which takes place in his childhood country on Stevns.
Poet Route "poet and landscape - Martin A. Hansen Stevns" is based on the obvious view that literature must be brought out into the countryside, if there can be shown a link between place, life and writing. Stevns - not far from Copenhagen - has high natural values: the cliff which is now World Heritage and the river valley is Natura 2000 area. Two artists from their childhood associated with Stevns: artist Niels Larsen Stevns and author Martin A. Hansen.
In this landscape, we have support from foundations able to organize a so-called poet scheduled for Martin A. Hansen. The route has six waypoints each cites quotes and information on three of his stories, linked to the locality.
By scanning the QR codes on a point route sign downloadable audio description. One can sit on the route point's bench and listen. Expertly selected quote samples supplemented with information are recorded. There are only selected texts from stories that can be attached to the route point's local area.
The app is complemented with a road book and an audio CD that can be purchased separately (see more on www.digteroglandskab.dk).
