- A splendid Gothic palace. Palace de la Cité remain the main halls built during the reign of Philip IV, the Fair (to 1314): the guardroom and the vast hall of the gendarmes, the largest Gothic hall in Europe. The spacious adjacent kitchen, built during the reign of John II the Good (HACA 1380), has allowed for 4 fireplaces prepare food for 1,500 palace servants.

- Royal Residence Palace of Justice. When the kings of France leave the palace at the end of s. XIV to settle in the Louvre and Vincennes, judicial activity develops and is conditioned prison.

- Revolutionary prison. During the French Revolution, the Conciergerie became one of the most important places of justice and detention by the installation of the Revolutionary Court. The tour presents objects, books and multimedia tools that show the revolutionary era, from the life of prisoners in overcrowded and unsanitary cells, to the functioning of the Revolutionary Justice and runaway during the Terror.

- Marie Antoinette. The most famous prisoner of the Conciergerie was Marie Antoinette, Queen of France old. Imprisoned in the Conciergerie for 76 days, guarded at all times, and judged later by the Revolutionary Court, you can only leave to go to the guillotine on 16 October 1793. In the Conciergerie, you can visit the chapel restored during the Restoration the site of his cell, understanding his arrest and trial, and discover a set of clothes, reputed to have belonged to the Queen during her detention, or objects that testify to his memory cult objects.
