About Kerja Sehat (Metode Ergonomic

Occupational Safety and Health (K3) has become an important necessity in all sectors of work both on the job or in the room. K3 is an effort that is given to workers as a guarantee of the safety and health of workers in carrying out work that poses a risk of personal harm to both workers and their work environment.

In K3 there is a system called ergonomics, which can be interpreted as science, art and application of technology to harmonize or adjust between all facilities used both in activities and breaks with all abilities, freedom and human limitations both physically and mentally so that a quality is achieved better overall life.

One negative impact on labor is the disruption of Musculosceletal Disorders (MSDs), because of the demands of work that requires workers to focus on working in front of a computer screen for a long time in a sitting position. Work carried out repeatedly can cause fatigue in the muscles, damage the tissue to cause pain and discomfort. At the beginning MSDs caused pain, pain, numbness, tingling, swelling, stiffness, trembling, sleep disturbances also felt like burning.

One effort to reduce MSDs complaints is medote Ergonomic Rule of Twenty. This method is one method to prevent eye disorders and Musculoskeletal Disorders. The ways to apply the Ergonomic Rule of Twenty are as follows:

1. After staring at the monitor for 20 minutes the worker is expected to stare at another object 20 feet away for 20 seconds. This step aims to avoid eye fatigue due to always staring at the monitor while working in a close position.

2. After 2 hours of sitting working in front of the monitor, make it a habit to stretch muscles and walk for 20 steps. This method aims for workers who are always faced with the monitor to stretch the stiff muscles and reduce the risk of Musculoskeletal Disorders.

The 'Healthy Work' application can help you to apply the Ergonomic Rule of Twenty method when you work.
