Agrigenius Olivo is a decision support system launched by BASF in cooperation with Horta. Using sensors in the field and various sources of information, Agrigenius collects complex data and processes them into warnings and advice information useful for predicting the risk connected to the main pathogens and insects of the olive fields.
Constant remote monitoring offers farmers and specialized technicians the opportunity to improve their decision-making processes on crop management, whatever the characteristics of the olive field. To meet the needs of all farmers and technicians, Agrigenius Olivo is distributed in two different solutions, a web version (Agrigenius Olivo PRO) with a monitoring and data collection system in the field and accurate forecasting models, and a web app optimized for smartphones and tablet (Agrigenius Olivo GO).
The Agrigenius GO app was developed for smart use and simplified consultance.
Connected to agro-meteorological stations or based on satellite data, the webapp provides synthetic information, in the form of risk indices, on the development of problems caused by fungal pathogens and harmful insects and on the protection dynamics of treatments. With Agrigenius GO you can take advantage of an updated database with all the technical characteristics that allow you to select the most suitable products for each specific application, also in relation to anti-resistance strategies. Thanks to the registration fo treatments and monitoring activities in Agrigenius Olivo it is possible to keep track of all the operations carried out in the olive field.
