Minerva is the service and information application of the Economic-Financial Police School of the Guardia di Finanza.
The School constitutes the training center of excellence for the constant technical-professional updating of the personnel of the Corps, through the development of an articulated didactic activity and the establishment of a center for culture and professional research, also at an international level; by virtue of a memorandum of understanding with the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (O.C.S.E.) signed on June 17, 2014, the International Tax Crime Academy was established at the School of Tax Police.
The educational activity is developed through the programming of multiple courses held by a teaching staff made up of university professors, magistrates, senior public officials, professionals and officers of the Corps.
The Institute also manages and implements articulated training cycles involving several countries of different nationalities, as well as collaborates with CEPOL in the field of cross-border cooperation in the fight against crime and the maintenance of security and public order.
As part of training, the School also promotes and supports international initiatives and programs, hosting conferences, conventions and courses with the participation of foreign experts and specialists, for the development of knowledge and professionalism in the sector of economic and financial security.
