The 'Alpini Online' portal, available at the link 'www.alpini-online.it', prepares the cards for all points of interest of the event, whether they are events or service points or entire thematic maps, and places them on the territory .
In this way the visitor can identify his own position, through the location of the device, ask for the route to the chosen destination and examine the site card in advance.
The application is updated a few days before the event, when all the information is available.
THE ALPINI ONLINE PORTAL
In all cases, the portal, reserved for sites and events in the Alpine world, publishes in advance those that will appear on Google Play and indicate the date of actual availability.
In this way it is always possible to plan the visit in advance, and a few days before updating the device.
- The portal publishes the Gathering National Groups. The Sections may propose their events of general interest.
- The National Gathering of Milan is published permanently on Google Play as "Milano 2019"
FUNCTIONS
As seen, 'Alpini Online' is specialized for navigation on the territory.
At the beginning the map is empty; through the commands the entities of specific interest are shown on the map, for homogeneous groups, which are represented as marker-placeholders. Clicking on the marker opens the information sheet with all the details.
You can then report on the map the individual events, and / or service points, and / or other maps of the area that are significant for the event, estimate the time required to reach one or more points of interest, on foot or by other means , and get information on destinations.
The request for a route or a thematic map resizes the map to optimize the consultation.
The main options, visible from the menu bar, are:
- POSITION, or starting point of a route
A service map contains a yellow marker / placeholder, which must be positioned at the starting point of the various routes.
It can be updated through the geolocation, or be manually moved to any position.
- EVENTS AND MAPS
The places of the events, the logistic points or those of the connected thematic maps are positioned and superimposed on the territory through their markers. Clicking on the marker opens the relevant tab.
The individual buttons are:
> Events: celebrations, choir performances, gathering and parade points located on the territory, by date.
> Logistics and service points: medical assistance, information, toilets, restaurants, parking lots, tent cities and campers, etc.
> Sponsor: normally, small merchants that have an agreement
> Reasons: paths, borders, zones and other graphic elements to be superimposed on the map
> Thematic maps, ie entire maps (for example places of the great war) connected with the event
> Removal by groups of displayed markers
- ROUTES
A path starts from the preset position, geo localized or selected, and arrives at the destination point, ie the last point 'clicked' on the map (in the norm it is the marker of a point of interest).
The buttons resolve three types of routes, and remove the previous route:
> Route by car
> Route with public transport
> Walking route
> Removing the route
- Buttons on the map, according to Google standards
> Map / Satellite: switch from one representation to another
> Zoom: increases (+) or decreases (-) the resolution of the area
> Street View: placing the icon on a point on the map the images of the place appear
> Full Screen: the map occupies the entire surface of the screen. Return to the original size by clicking on the icon again.
