The app "Altavilla - the old mining village loved by Verga" is a smart guide to the historical and artistic assets of the municipality of Altavilla Irpina (AV).
From the main menu (Home) you can access the following content:

Data sheet containing general information on the town of Altavilla, introduced by Prof. Luigi Di Giovanni offering a description of the town in terms of places and people would see them as Giovanni Verga, if he had visited in the year 1881.
- Landmarks
In this section you can view numerous descriptions of many historical, with text and images produced by a research document, conducted by the Culture of Altavilla Irpina.
- Map of places
This section shows the map of the historical sites of Altavilla Irpina put on the city plan, in order to provide a guideline on how to get to the places described.
- Historical characters
A list of some mini biographies, full of images, can be consulted to discover the illustrious citizens of the town of Altavilla, with even some historical anecdotes recounted.
- Events and curiosity
In this section you can find, in addition to the legend of the hunchback and the description of the event related to the night of witches, a video of more than three minutes on the famous "Palio watermelon."
- Reading traveling
This section allows a multimedia interaction between the user and the territory of Altavilla. This menu will activate the camera of the smartphone, which will act as a "finder" in which you will have to put, placing them at the center of the screen, the different codes Quick Response (QR), placed in special thematic panels within the municipality Altavilla. Once you recognize the QR code, the application will display the corresponding song and picture taken from the novel "The husband of Helen" (Verga, 1882). This will make it possible to carry out a traveling reading of this novel, by connecting the physical locations loved by Verga in the novel itself, in a fun walk between literature and technology.
