With the APP "Beyond the traces of history" you will be guided along the routes, listening to historical and environmental descriptions of the places and events of the First World War.
The First World War left many testimonies on the Lombard mountain areas: especially here, in the Stelvio National Park and in the Adamello Park, where they fought at very high altitudes and in extreme environmental conditions. Fascinating places where the beauty of the natural scenery contrasts with the tragic events. To enhance this priceless heritage, the Lombardy Region (Directorate General for Autonomy and Culture) has entrusted ERSAF, with the collaboration of the White War Museum, a project to enhance the Lombard heritage of the Great War, through the creation of thematic itineraries created using innovative technologies and with zero impact on the landscape. The sixteen experiential itineraries proposed allow you to visit in a new, engaging and interactive way with the places, some sections of the Italian-Austrian front and to learn about the war events that took place between 1915 and 1918 on these mountains.
Thanks to a technology within everyone's reach, it is now possible to encounter fragments of history and nature, grasp inconspicuous details and look around, even taking a step back in time. Through the APP "Beyond the traces of history" you can listen to the voice of the actor and writer Giuseppe Cederna the historical and environmental description of the places and the story of the events; the testimonies of the time are proposed by the actor Matteo Chioatto.
