[Flow after completion of application]
① The results of the examination will be sent to the e-mail address registered at the time of application. (*1)
② Your IC cash card and your customer number, which you will need when using Yucho Direct (internet banking), will be mailed to you. (Simplified registered mail/transfer not required) (*2)
③ You can immediately use ATMs and Japan Post Bank Direct using the IC cash card and Japan Post Bank Direct customer number you received.
*1 If, as a result of the examination, you are unable to open, you will not be able to proceed to item No. 2 onwards.
*2 It will take about 2 weeks from the completion of the application until the arrival of the IC cash card and Yucho Direct customer number. Please note that due to a large number of applications, it may take two weeks or more to complete the screening process for opening an account.

■ What to prepare

・Personal identification document (driver's license, My Number card, or residence card)
*If you apply with a driver's license, you will be asked to enter the PIN (4-digit number, 2 types) that you set yourself when the driver's license was issued.
*Foreign nationals (excluding special permanent residents) must apply with their residence card. Also, please bring your employee ID card or student ID card if necessary.

■ Customers who cannot apply with this app
If any of the following applies, you cannot apply from this app.
・Individual customers under the age of 16
・Individual customers who wish to use an account for business purposes
・Corporate customers
・Customers who already have a general account with our bank
・Customers who hold important public positions (or have held important public positions) and their family members in foreign governments, etc.
・Customers who do not have an email address
・Customers who do not reside in Japan

■Other precautions
・ Applications for opening an account from this app are limited to applications from the person himself/herself.
・In this app, seal registration is not performed when opening an account. Customers who need to register their personal seal for purposes such as withdrawing utility bills should bring their IC cash card, the seal to be registered, and identification documents (driver's license, My Number card, residence card, etc.). Please go to the nearby Japan Post Bank or the post office savings counter to register your personal seal.
・The account you can apply for with this app is a non-passbook type general account (IC cash card only). If you need a passbook, please go to the Japan Post Bank or post office savings counter to open an account.
