The Military District Command (abbreviated as Kodim) is a military command and operational area of the Army under the Korem. The Kodim is in charge of several Military District Commands (Koramil).
In some Kodam, Kodim operates in the area of Level II Regions, both cities and regencies. The Kodim is led by a Commander commonly called the Dandim (Military District Commander) who has the rank of Lieutenant Colonel (Lt. Col.) and Major (Senior). But for the kodim that stands alone (Kodim without Korem) is led by the dandim with the rank of Colonel.
