Salina Cacica is located in the locality of the same name, in Suceava County, at the eastern foot of Obcina Mari. The entrance to the "ocna" is made on steps of fir over 200 years old, mineralized by the brine that has penetrated the wood. Saline aerosols, constant temperature of approx. 11ºC, the purity and beauty of the place, recommends the salt mine in any season for relaxation and leisure. Through the galleries dug in the salt massif, the depth reaches 44m in the Dwarf Grotto and in the Ballroom. Next to the unique ballroom with balcony, at a depth of 37 m, there is a lake over 2 m deep - "Salt Lake" - unique in the country.
The work of the old miners left real works of art: access stairs cut into the salt massif, vaulted ceilings or huge galleries.
Other attractions of Salina Cacica are: the echo hall (8 returns of the echo) and the mine museum.
On the surface, during the hot season, the salt water swimming pool and the commercial annexes are open.
