Diving center KevMic-Diving was founded in 2006 (01-03-2006). We started in 2006 in Zaandam, in 2009 we moved to Alkmaar at Robbenkoog 14, in 2018 we moved to a larger location at Hamsterkoog 1 in Alkmaar, Beverkoog industrial estate. As of March 1, 2022 we have moved to a new location at Edisonweg 6 in Alkmaar-Oudorp
We work together with Diving Association Flash-Gorgone founded in 1986 (04-03-1986) in Bergen NH, now located in Alkmaar.
The students and instructors are between 8 and .. years old. Diving center KevMic-Diving has several instructors.
We specialize in diving, which is the hobby and passion of all our instructors.
Our diving courses;
Our diving courses are based on the systems of PADI, NOB, IAHD, WOSD, CMAS, PSDA courses. These are the world's largest diving training organizations, and the teaching systems are didactically well put together.
Within KevMic-Diving we have chosen to give extra attention to certain parts of the course, usually because those parts (such as floating and an efficient swimming stroke) will help the diver develop better diving technique faster.
The teaching materials that we use during the theory presentations are mostly in Dutch or English. In this way, the student also learns the English version of many diving concepts, something that usually comes in handy on vacation.
You are expected to read the theory book at home or use the E-learning, at the dive center we will then watch the DVD belonging to the lesson, this is sufficient to pass the theory exam and the quizes. Because of this self-study we have time during the theory sessions. During the theoretical presentations we will discuss topics that are not (or cannot be) included in the book, such as diving conditions, habits, developments and possibilities in the Netherlands and the most famous holiday countries, but also about the latest diving materials and brands and current developments in the field of diving. deep and technical diving with gas mixtures other than air.

If you are looking for diving equipment (or parts of it), we are always willing to give you personal advice based on our extensive experience with different types and brands of diving equipment. We have a wide selection of diving equipment in our store, we can also order diving equipment from all brands for you and we have about 50 masks and fins in stock as standard.
You can also contact us for service and maintenance.
In our rental department you will find well-maintained diving equipment from various brands. This way you can try out and compare different BCDs and regulators during your training.
KevMic-Diving also teaches all courses in English. Most of our Instructors have worked at dive resorts all over the world and have taught courses in English.
